Actor Tom Sizemore dies at 61

Tom Sizemore (61) is an American actor known for his dynamic and intense performances on both the big and small screen. According to CNN and other news sources, he was hospitalized and intensive care after suffering a brain aneurysm and was in critical condition. After remaining in coma and told by doctors that there was no further hope for him, it is reported that he had passed away peacefully in his sleep.

He was found unconscious at his Los Angeles home after having a brain aneurysm and rushed to the hospital after being treated by paramedics at the scene.

The veteran actor was born on November 29, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan. Sizemore had a rough childhood and struggled with drug addiction and crime in his teenage years.

He began his acting career in the mid-1980s and gained recognition with his role as Michael Cheritto in the 1995 crime thriller film “Heat” directed by Michael Mann. He then went on to appear in a number of successful movies including “Saving Private Ryan” (1998), “Black Hawk Down” (2001), and “Pearl Harbor” (2001).

Sizemore has also made numerous appearances on television shows such as “Twin Peaks”, “CSI: Miami”, and “Hawaii Five-0”. However, his career has been marred by his struggles with drug addiction and legal issues. In 2003, he was arrested on drug-related charges and has had several other run-ins with the law over the years.

Despite his personal struggles, Sizemore continued to act and had received critical acclaim for his performances. He has won a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role in “Saving Private Ryan” and has been nominated for several other awards.

In addition to his acting career, Sizemore had also written a memoir titled “By Some Miracle I Made It Out of There” which chronicles his struggles with addiction and recovery.
